Part of my heritage is from Ghana and the traditional wear there is hand-dyed, hand-woven and hand-sewn by professional seamstresses.
The effect makes for some beautiful tailoring if sown well and its still worn modern times for a variety of events. However the younger generation has taken a spin on things and have incorporated modern style with traditional wear for a bold fashion statement.
