Kinky Twists

Maintaining my hair during winter in London is awful *teardrop* I just never seem to have the energy to look after it and wrap it properly etc. I buy a lot of hair products, do I even use them? NO! They end up on my makeup table to the far right along with all the other products I most probably will never end up using in my life.
In Ghana it was simple, go to the hairdresser and get my hair twisted before I would fly back to London, this saved me at least 30 minutes of sleeping time. But now I'm back in London the cost of getting these twists done is more than triple the cost because of the size and time it takes to get done.

Sitting in my woe I went onto skype to talk with my bestie Kandi and I saw to my delight she had the very style I wanted (when I get it done she'll tell me I copied her.)

Here's some pictures of her hairstyle (she couldn't even make one normal face for me)

With all the rage being long 24inch Indian hair its nice to see some girls wanting to do something that looks closer to their own natural hair

If you don't have natural hair and you want to achieve this look use royal silk in afro twist braid and you can get the kinky twist look and it will last longer than if you twist with straight hair because of the texture.
Just spray it with a moisturising spray at least twice a week to keep it healthy and shiny and you're fine.

Here are some more styles you can acheive while having in kinky twists.

This is definitely a look I shall be trying out so watch this space

  3. Hi it is about 16 to 18 inches long however depending on the pack u buy ie Kinky Twist hair it can come up shorter and may not be exactly be the length it says on the pack, in the 4th picture thought the hair used is straight hair.

  5. I would definitely recommend the royal silk in afro twist braid as the best hair to use to get similar results to the hair above, it comes in a variety of lengths but maintenance is easier when the hair isnt too long. Hope that helps Vikki.
