Vlisco Fabric

So this is a little (a lot) late but for Valentines day part of my present was Vlisco fabric. My boyfriend reads my blog so its a good thing I blogged about how much I liked their fabrics in a previous post.

I love the way it came packaged

It also came with some papers that showed parts of the collection of the fabric it was ordered from

The fabric itself came in a tube shaped cylinder and the fabric was neatly folded inside.

The fabric itself is beautiful, it can be quite expensive if your purchase the limited edition ones but there are others that retail for around €49.00. Shipping can be a bit expensive too.

I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do with the fabric but I do have a couple of ideas, its 6 yards and I only need 3 or 4 to make a dress so maybe the leftover I'll make a clutch bag, some shoes and maybe some hair scarves.

My boyfriend's main issue when ordering with them was that I didn't receive the package on time and they stated they were sending with one delivery company but sent it with another delivery company which was a lot cheaper, it also took a long time to track the package as it didn't show it had come up as shipped. Quite disappointed with them about that but the quality of the fabric makes up for that (but would be better if service had been better.)

  1. Love Love Love!! Your boy did great!!
The fabric chosen is superb. Can't wait to see what you make with it!! :D

  2. :D thankyou so much. just need to think of designs now, going to Ghana soon and want to make it there so have to be prepared xx

  3. Hi, CoCo.
If you ever want to buy Vlisco fabric in small amounts, I carry them in my Etsy shop. I sell them by Half Yards. Here is the link:
    Thank you.

PS. I will browse your blog to see if you eventually made your outfit with this fabric and maybe posted a photo.

    1. Hi Angela, had a look on your website you have a good range of Vlisco fabrics really nice, will consider buying from you when I next plan to make something. Unfortunately I left my fabric with a very slow seamstress in Ghana last summer and they have finished making my a dress I designed however I have to wait to go again to pick it up.
